I'm so glad when Daddy gets home.

Happy Father's day to the best father to my children and best husband to me.

Tristan is one-of-a-kind. No doubt about that.
I've compiled a list that backs up my previous statement.

He is super duper productive. I would say to a fault, but let's be honest, that doesn't exist. It's just annoying for me when I'm tired haha.

He gets nervous every time I go to the store in fear that I will run our bank account dry. Rightfully so. Just kidding. Kind of.

He's a dreamer; always thinking about the future and what he wants for our family.

He thinks of his family first. Every time. Always.

He is a horrible poopy-diaper changer. Caleb normally poos while Tristan's at work, but not always. I kindly mention that someone is smelling ripe and he'll say something to the effect of, "Um, my stomach hurts, I can't do it." Haha. And when he does end up changing a diaper, he covers his nose with his shirt. It's hilarious. So most of the time he gets the wipes and clean diaper, I change, and he takes the diaper out. I'd say we got a good team going on, especially since I don't mind changing them at all, I just hate taking it out. But still, I tease him about it a lot.

He calls Ellie "princess" and Caleb "bruiser". Both are fitting.

He secretly wishes he was in an a cappella group. He's never admitted it, but I know this to be true.

He states that he'd rather stay home and relax on the weekends, but then gets so antsy after an hour of being inside and "relaxing".

When he gets hot he goes to the fridge and puts an ice pack on his head or back.

He loves milk. And Oreos. Both separate and together.

He doesn't like to wear pajama pants, only shorts. Bummer since I think he would look good in them.

He's a peacemaker, non-competive, "lover, not a fighter" kind of a guy. And it's not something I recognized before we got married, but I know I got so lucky with.

He gives me all of his leftovers from restaurants. Mainly because he loves me, but partly because he doesn't really like leftovers. Except pizza, of course.

He cannot bring himself to buy me a bouquet of flowers. Yes, potted plants and roses, but not a bouquet. Something about it being too expensive all for it to die or some nonsense. So when he does get it for me one day, it'll mean that much more ;).

We have a little tikes basketball hoop in our family room that Tristan likes to "practice" with. Every time he makes a basket, he looks at me to make sure I saw. To which I respond "Nothin' but net!" or "Daaang, you drilled that!"

He's an amazingly good driver. His previous experience with cops and car accidents and tickets has made him wary. Some people (who will go unnamed) claim that he drives like an "old grandpa" but he has never gotten pulled over or in an accident since we've been married (knock on wood). Also, I used to get car sick, but have never gotten it with him behind the wheel. Just sayin'.

He gets a little bent out of shape if the toilets aren't cleaned regularly. I like to test it and see how long it can go on before it drives him up the wall (I should probably not do that).

If you ever have an ill-thought about Tristan's wardrobe, blame me. I buy all his clothes.

He loves my mom's recipe for marinara sauce. It's very time-consuming to make, but well worth it. I made it for him this weekend and know that he could eat it every single day if that was permissible.

He gets lots of free things at work and brings them home for the kids. However, when he brought this shirt home, he got it for himself because he thought it was so cool. I informed him it was the epitome of all things geek: Intel, Star Wars, and Legos.

Our protection, welfare, and happiness are always on his mind. I can think of countless examples to back that up.

He encourages me to improve, work-hard, and to be a better, wife, mom, sister, daughter, and friend in all the best ways.

And of course, Ellie has him wrapped around his finger.

We love our
Playful
Strong
Hardworking
(Ellie chasing him while he mows the lawn, haha.)

Selfless
Adventurous
Melt-your-heart
Foosball Champ
Of a father.
I know I got lucky with this guy. And I'm so grateful for him and the family we have together.

I realize most of these pictures are with Ellie, but Caleb isn't much of a snuggler and he's a major mama's boy. However, that doesn't stop both of his children running to the door when Dad gets home.
We love you Tristan, Happy Father's Day.
