Tricks and Treats

Halloween was a blast; I try extraordinarily hard to get my children as much candy as possible so that I can eat it. Okay that's a bit selfish and may or may not be true (it is). We went to two trunk-or-treats and actual trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. Believe me, I deserve all the candy anyway because I did all the leg work! Carrying the kids up to the door, ringing the doorbell, speaking on their behalf: "Say trick-or-treat!" "Oh, that looks yummy, say 'thank you'" "She's a ballerina" "I know, my children can be shy; can I have that butterfinger?"-- You get the point.

Caleb's costume:
One of our friends lent us a couple halloween costumes that had been handmade by her mom!
I have yet to buy a halloween costume. I might be able to make a few more halloweens...

Ellie's costume:
I've had this cute little outfit since before Ellie was born from one of my awesome friends. Hey Tara, it fits! We went with "ballerina princess"

At one of the trunk-or-treats. We ate a lot of chili that week.
Jesse and Tristan dressed up as each other! (Unintentionally)

Garret was Indiana Jones (SO cool), Allye was Belle, and Hailye (I didn't get a picture!) was a cheerleader.
Checkin' out the goods!!
"In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the Lion sleeps tonight... OooOOooOOOooo..."
Nathan, text me that funny caption you wanted me to put with this picture, I can't remember it. But guys, trust, it was hilarious.
And Trent with Caleb. How hilarious/adorable are these pictures???
You're awesome Trent, we love you!

On Halloween night, I had another costume (from the same friend) for Caleb. I couldn't decide between a lion and a court jester so I did both. Thanks again Kristy!
Another successful Halloween! Ellie was polite and sweet at every door and Caleb was as calm and cool as ever.
