Eight Months

Just so you all know, that picture on the left is the BEST one I could get; he will not sit still; this picture was mid roll! Carrying on:

My guy is crawling! (Started about 7 1/2 months). I could tell he was getting close when he could go from his belly to sitting position, and then one day BOOM. He was doing it. I am loving it because he keeps himself busy by exploring everything around him. Also, he's extremely fast now and will chase you; Ellie and I like to run from "monster Caleb" (I hope that doesn't mess with his psyche).

Along with crawling, he now likes to pull himself up, which leads to lots of bonks on the noggin. He's fearless.

He has one tooth. It stopped teasing him (and me) and is staying put. And a second one is on the way.

He's down to two naps a day now (sometimes one), and is getting longer stretches at night (almost 12) we'll see how long that lasts. He likes to mix it up.

He likes to grab my face (and hair) and kiss/gnaw/bite on my cheek. I'd like to think he's telling me he loves me, but I think it's more of "I'm hungry mom, feed me."

He likes to tilt his head sideways and smile at you. I need to get a picture of it, it's so cute. (And I did! Shortly after writing this post...)

Speaking of feeding, he eats solid foods like a champ and normally 2-3 times a day. His favorite is bananas and sweet potatoes. He also loves greek yogurt. I gave him some avocado, but he seemed indifferent; we'll work on that. He's still a big fan of milk straight from the source and eats about 5 times in a 24 hour period, I'd say. He's nursing less (sad) but eating well with a spoon and drinking from a sippy (sort of, he's getting better).

Wears size 4 diapers now and 12 month clothing won't fit him for too much longer.

He's starting to pull books off shelves and clothes out of drawers. It's an adorable nuisance.
Caleb is still so bald. But is actually getting hair! It's coming in blonde and brown.
If Ellie isn't being nice to him, he'll look up at me and make the saddest puppy face you've ever seen.
Really though, Ellie and him play so well together. He can watch her and laugh and laugh and laugh (which she just eats up). She can now say his name and pronounces it "taylub".
Repercussions of having an older sister.

Both Caleb and Ellie make me so happy. I tell them I love them to a point of annoyance, but I can't help it. They're the sweetest.
Love this little family of mine!
Let this picture be a testament to you of how much I love my husband...
He's cute with a hat on though, isn't he?
