Fall Adventures

I'm probably the only person in the world that's sad when summer ends. But I forgot how fun fall is too! The weather, the smell, the crisp air. We've had our fair share of fall adventures--here are a few:

Took a trip to FairyTale Town in Sacramento. It's nice to have friends who have lived here their whole lives and know where are the fun things are. This has been around for forever. Actually, Tristan chipped a tooth here when he visited as a kid.
We had lots of fun.
Animals, slides, playgrounds--the works.

I sure do love these beautiful ladies.

Soccer Games
Go Garret Go!
It's been fun seeing him get better and better.

Temple Trip
With these crazy kiddos.
It was a good idea, but we weren't exactly reverent. Ellie kept picking the flowers and wanted to swim in the water fountain.

Halloween Decorations
My MIL always decorates for every holiday/season you can imagine.
This is George the pumpkin man. Ellie liked his hat.

Disney On Ice
Tristan won 4 tickets at work and since Caleb doesn't use a seat, we were able to bring Lesa with us.
Ellie loved it. I think her favorite part was Tinkerbell.

That's Peter, Wendy, Michael, and... I can't remember the other little boys name. But it was pretty cool to see them "flying" with Tinkerbell's fairy dust.

Park days
The park is still the easiest/cheapest/quickest. But it's also super fun for me and the kids. It's a win win. We never tire of them.
Allye pushing her sister and Ellie pushing her brother. So sweet.

And perhaps the most fall-ish activity around:
Apple Hill
It really is a hill with a bunch of apples. They have cute little booths and boutiques.
Activities and crafts. Treats and desserts. It really is the epitome of fall.
The first time we went it was raining, but we still enjoyed ourselves a caramel apple.
The BEST in fact.

Bitin' in to that goodness. Best one I've ever had.
We went again a few weeks later when it was beautiful outside and suuuuper crowded. "You win some and you lose some" as Tristan would say. But we got to enjoy it a lot more, despite all the people.
Ellie loved the cows. I told her that one was a mommy cow, a daddy cow, an Ellie cow, and a Caleb cow. She loved that. Really, she was looking at them for at least 5 minutes. She also made "sand art". The picture on the right is when she was showing Tristan the colorful "flower" she made.

So far fall has been a real treat!

  1. That is so weird... those are all the places I went growing up. I had a birthday party at Fairytale Town and we went to apple hill all the time!
