Caleb is growing up and I've really been enjoying every stage. With Ellie, I felt like I always wanted her to get to the next step, but with Caleb, I'm enjoying it all (especially the one where he doesn't crawl yet).
He does not crawl yet (actually he DOES crawl, but he wasn't crawling by October 1st), but can get on all fours and can scoot as well. I'll set him down and he'll reach with his arms for something and somehow he'll be 10 feet away from where I put him, without crawling! I don't know how he does it.
I've given him lots of fruits and vegetables. His favorite is sweet potatoes and bananas (Ellie never ate those). As far as "big people food" he's had rice, apples, a french fry, and some ice cream. He's getting pretty good at chewing, but still freaks me out when he gags. He is getting better though. And he still loves to nurse. I feed him probably 6 times a day still and once during the night (normally early morning). I don't mind one bit though, it's so much easier than getting him a bottle and he's still a super quick eater.
You know they're growing up when all the pictures you take of them are blurry because they can't sit still. Ellie is still in that stage currently.
He is blabbing a LOT. He rarely cries and much prefers to yell to get my attention. He blows raspberries, jibber jabbers, and sucks on his bottom lip. I think it's super cute.
He wears sizes 12 months and up, even a few 18 month stuff (but I think gerber just runs small). I think he's starting to even out a little bit more. However, his thighs are still very edible.
He loves when I hold him. If he's bored from playing with toys he'll yell (again, not cry) until I pick him up and then acts like he wasn't totally just making a scene two seconds ago.
The vacuum scares him. It didn't use to, but that is one of the few things that he will cry at.
I know he's excited when he pants like a dog and flails his arms around. It's so cute.
He can sleep pretty much anywhere, but is the best in his crib. It's nice that can sleep in the stroller if I'm out and about, and can even sleep in my arms (although it doesn't happen very often).
His current interests involve watching me brush my teeth, eating my mascara tube, watching Ellie's every movement, jumping in the jumperoo, eating anything that he can lift and put in his mouth, and laughing. He will laugh, without fail, every time you through him up in the air. He also likes reaching for anything and everything you may have in front of you (e.g. the keyboard as I currently type). he also likes to bang his hands on anything that makes a sound and give me high fives (especially when I'm nursing him)
He is teething. I think. Sometimes I feel a tooth and the next hour it's gone. Poor kiddo. Also, he still spits up? What's up with that? These children of mine...
Love these beautiful children. They make me so happy!
Isn't obvious by this picture that I do the same for them?

He is sooo cute Markie. I can't get over how much he looks like Ellie in boy form. Too cute for words.
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable. Reminds me so much of T when he was little...like a lot! Same facial features and chubby counter-parts ;)
