Got blue gogurt all over the floor and my sofa--this was on two separate occasions.
Snuck downstairs during naptime, got an otterpop from the freezer, went back into her room and spilled it all over her sheets. It was a red otterpop.
Put stickers all over Caleb's head while I was in the shower. (That was actually pretty funny, and Caleb didn't seem to mind one bit).
Gave herself her very first haircut. It's not enough for anyone to notice, I didn't even notice until she kept saying "I cut my hair mommy" and then I did, and almost shed a tear.
Escaped from nursery without any leaders noticing.
Boycotts her naps.
Chewed up an eraser.
Drew with a highlighter on her bedsheets (the new ones I put on while her otterpop filled ones were being washed).
Put a plastic cup from her play tea set into the oven. I didn't know that when I pre-heated the oven for dinner until I smelled something funny... That one took a while to clean up. Tristan did the hard part.
After a few loads of laundry, a lot oxyclean, um-teen minutes of time-outs, and a few stern talking tos, everything has been able to be reversed (even the red otter pop off the sheets!). Actually wait, I couldn't reverse her cutting her hair, but it grows back. She has been quite the handful. However, she's also been as fun, cute, and adorable as ever. She talks my ears off, plays with Caleb and gets him to laugh better and quicker than I could have, helps me do laundry, helps me cook, and really is a fun little girl. I've learned how to be a better mom, that's for sure. But wow Ellie, cool it a little bit. I thought I was getting to the point where I don't have to watch your every move--I guess that never really happens though. Maybe when she moves out.
Love my Ellie girl.

this was a riot to read. she sounds like a TOTAL TODDLER! hehe :)
ReplyDeleteSo I have to admit, I was laughing through this whole thing. Not because of the naughty thing Ellie did but because B has done probably half of those, and than had some of her own. Oh Markie, I wished we lived closer, the girls would be a hoot together. B has had her teen age attitude, I mean, terrible two attitude for a while now. Glad someone else has a little wild child in their home as well. Miss you!!
ReplyDeleteHaha I would expect nothing less from spunky Ellie- she is seriously adorable and a little fire ball
