After my Nursing Conference was over, Tristan and Ellie came and joined me in Utah. We shared a hotel with some of our awesome friends, Natalie and Mark.
So we planned a fun-filled, never-stopping Super Saturday!
It started off with a delicious breakfast from our hotel; I waited patiently for the biscuits and gravy. I like Natalie and Sharon's better.
So we started our day off bowling on campus at BYU!

I'm pretty terrible. But at least I'm better than Natalie (I think that was a fluke).

Action shot! Perfect form, Tristan.
Natalie and Mark, and Mark's sister Jana and her husband Mike.
And of course Mickey joined us as well.

Then afterward we went to Tristan's and my favorite place to eat:
J-Dawgs
It's so delicious. Every time we drive through Provo, we stop and eat a polish dog with my best bud, Allison. This time was no different; she always makes time to dine with us. Love her!

Afterward Ellie took a nap in the car as we drove to Sandy to go to the amazing aquarium we heard so many good things about. It was actually pretty cool! It was super crowded, but they had a bunch of cool things:

Penguins and Otters
I put Ellie on my shoulders so that we could see them feeding the penguins, super cool!

Natalie and Mark petting the sting-rays. (I think Mark fulfilled one of his lifetime goals)

They were super slimy. I don't think Tristan really enjoyed that part haha.

Nemo!!!!!!! Noggin. Picture on the right is Nat and Ellie looking at an Anaconda!

And, like most places do, a gift shop! That was Ellie's favorite part.

Tristan and Mark didn't like that I made them take a picture with the Otter masks, but it was so "otter-ly" irresistible!
Afterwards, we went to Kyle and Sharon's place in West Jordan to hang!

We weren't the only things "hanging". (Okay that was a reach...)
But I love the picture of Mark showing Ellie the icicle.
We went to dinner, and then picked up Kyle from work and went to a frozen yogurt place!

They had a little kid area that Ellie loved. She was pulling those chairs everywhere!
We had such a good time with them!
And the next morning, one last trip to see Mick, and then back to the 'burg.
Such a fun Utah weekend! It was weird to see four-lane highways. It was also weird just to see so many people, haha. Reminded me of home. We wish Britt and Andrew could have come! But they had to work, unfortunately. But seriously, we had a blast! Thanks Natalie and Mark for coming up to join us!
Please tell me you were 500 feet from my house. I live around the corner from J-Dawgs and we go bowling at BYU all the time. Why do we not know this about eachother. Next time you're here. Call me. Kapeesh? LOVE YOU!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Kate, I'm so sorry! I thought you were in SL, please forgive. Love you girl!
