That's right my friends, you read that correctly. My daughter is FOUR. And I'm so grateful for the kind girl she is growing up to be. She is getting even more of an imagination and I love finding her playing with random toys and inventing new uses for them. The other day she imagined that the to-go baby wipes container was a baby and kept swaddling it; pretty adorable. She is (most of the time) kind to her brother and will (most of the time) share and play with him. She is often times pretty shy, but warms up quickly. She loves to do what we call "crazy eyes" where she crosses her eyes and says "mama look at me". It's quite the talent. She loves kitty cats. She always wants me to hold her or for her to sit on my lap; the ultimate snuggler. She wants to do everything with me! She wants to go play volleyball with me, she wants to wrap presents with me (even her own), she even wants to clean toilets with me. Its the best. But sometimes she can't come places with me or help me wrap her own presents, so it can be hard on my sweet little four-year-old's heart. I hope she never stops. Happy birthday to my precious girl!
Tristan and I had so much fun decorating her door and downstairs just for our special girl.
I think she felt special because right when she woke up she said "this is the best birthday ever!"
Because she is getting older, I made extra efforts this year to make sure she felt extra love for her birthday. We sang and had cupcakes at preschool and she radiated joy!
We also took her out for dinner the night before (her birthday was on a Sunday) and had them sing happy birthday to her, which she also loved. Then we went and got her favorite hot chocolate and watched movies with her and Caleb.
After dinner we walked around the Palladio, the outdoor mall. Christmas is already magical, add in a birthday and we're set.
On Sunday we had a family dinner for my sweet girl with a dinner of her choice: Hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, and beans. It was the easiest meal I've ever made, and for that I will always be grateful.
I had Lesa frost the cake. I gave her two frostings asked her to finish the blue and then she could open the white haha, I'm so mean. So she got creative and made a "pond" for Elsa and Anna (so creative). It ending up matching the nightgown that my mom got her for her birthday that she deemed worthy as her birthday outfit.
Lighting the candles and singing "happy birthday".
Blowin' out the candles! She's an expert.
She got lots of cute gifts and we sure all grateful.
Her and Caleb try to ride the horse frequently.
And yes, as per her request, we did have a piƱata; Ellie said it was her favorite part of her birthday party. It was definitely a hit (pun anyone?).
Ellie...
Caleb...
Hailye, Allye, and Garret all got to contribute.
And below is one of our favorite cards that we got from Uncle Mickey and his artistic roommate.
Happy birthday my four-year-old!
