Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was great. I got to spend time with both sides of the family. Thursday was spent with Tristan's side with a delicious dinner made by my brother-in-law in which he never fails to impress. I only got a few pictures (I need to be better!) and they were of Allye and Ellie dressing up as princesses, not very thanksgiving-y, but still adorable.

Also, Nathan's brother photobombed the good one haha.

That evening my parents, little sister, and two of my brothers came over to our house. It's been a long time since so many of us have been together. We were still missing my twin sister and little brother (sad) but they were together in Logan, so that's good. We did a little shopping, enjoyed some time outside, and each others company. It was kind of like a dream looking back at it, I'm so grateful they could come. I forget what it's like sometimes, being with my siblings again. It brought back lots of good memories, and even better ones were created. It was my older brothers first time meeting Caleb and they were so good with him. Ellie loved them too. It was nice to see grammy and grampy with their only two grandkids too. I think they were enjoying the moment with us all together. They could only stay one day because my brothers had to get back to work, but it was still awesome.
Scott, Andrew, Stevie, and my dad at Andrew's apartment in Oakland on Thanksgiving, right before they drove up to Folsom to hang out with us!

Grammy and Scott holding Caleb.
Scott was awesome and held Caleb the whole time we were shopping.

But toward the end, grampy got a turn. He must be really comfortable because Caleb was OUT.
Enjoying some time outside.
This really captures the essence of my mother.
Wanna-be ballers.
Although my mom is actually really good at basketball, she played varsity all through high school (along with softball and volleyball). She's got some serious skill.
Ellie insists on wearing her 18-month pajamas throughout the day.
More basketball. My brother's were pretty good too, but they played hockey growing up.
Also, how cool is that shot on the left of Scott dunking the ball?
More shots of grammy and grampy. Love these two.

Whenever I'm with Stevie, I always make sure I snag her and make her play with my hair. She's awesome and it always feels good; she knows I love it haha. Tristan just isn't as good as she is! (Sorry Trizzle, but it's the truth). And yes, I did dye my hair brown a few weeks ago! It has blonde in it too, so it's more of a light brown.

My oldest brother Andrew with Caleb. It was so funny seeing them together, mainly because I think my brother is hilarious.
This is Ellie and Caleb "sharing" an otter pop.
All of my siblings are extremely talented, not even kidding you. And every single one of us are very individual and have differing ones. This is one of Andrew's many talents; drawing. I am blown away at his skill (although he would never admit that he's talented), I think he's amazing. He didn't know these pictures above were even taken; he was in "the zone".
He drew these for Ellie for her birthday (and Ellie proceeded to help him color them in). If you've seen Doc McStuffins on Disney Junior, that's what the pictures are of. He did that from looking at a sticker book that Scott got for Ellie for her birthday. He also used the big set of markers also given to Ellie for her birthday from Scott.

We had a mini birthday party while my family was there for Ellie (her birthday was the next week).
Just had to include this precious picture.
We enjoyed a dinner out Friday evening. As kids we used to go to Denny's a lot as a family; this was very reminiscent of that for me. My mom was in charge of keeping Caleb entertained, which entertained us to no end. He kept banging his hands on the table, demanding more strawberries and water, and really putting his grammy to work! It was awesome haha.

Such a fun day. Can't wait to see more of my family for Christmas!

  1. Are you going to be in Ontario- and if so, when?? We're getting there on the 20th but leaving Christmas afternoon.
