Caleb turned 6 months on September 1st! I know, I'm late. But here how he's doing:
Weight: 20 lbs 10 oz (91.13%)
Height: 2' 4" (98.24%)
He's no longer content just sitting in my lap. He twists, slides, squirms, and the like. He always wants to know what's going on. He reaches and grabs for everything in sight and puts anything and everything in his mouth. He rolls from stomach to back now and therefore does 360s all over the floor.
He sleeps swaddle free (since 5 months old actually)! We decided it was time since he kept breaking out of the swaddle and rolling onto his belly. His belly is still his favorite way to sleep. Speaking of sleep, he's turned into a great sleeper. 9-10 hours straight, then eats and goes back for a few more hours. Ellie and him go down at the same time and wake up around the same time. They also take naps at the same time. All my dreams are coming true. He takes three naps a day with his big one at the same time as Ellie. And as I said before Ellie hasn't been taking naps everyday, but she always goes into her room for quiet time so I can reenergize. I have good kids.
He wears a few 6 month items, mainly 9 month, and a lot of 12 month. Ellie and I have fun getting him dressed.
Caleb makes himself known in several ways. One of then involves a sound similar to chewbaca when he is mad and wants to be held or fed. He doesn't really cry a lot, it's mainly just a whine. And he has mastered it.
He had his first bite of rice cereal last month and he could care less for it. Most of the time I put breastmilk in it but that didn't seem to make much of a difference. Still, I forced him to eat some everyday for the last month. His favorite thing was sticking his tongue out and spitting out the food all over me. Some days he seemed to love it, other times not so much. I would give him sips of water while feeding him real food and he loved that, so I gave it to him if he was good and ate haha. But since having turned 6 months, I fed him some peas and he was in heaven. Like night and day. He eats and actually wants more. So he's gonna love these next couple of months when he discovers more and more delicious food.
He's still a lover of his momma's milk. He will take a bottle (grudgingly) but only if he has too. I much prefer to nurse. I have a ton of frozen milk that I should probably use though...
He loves to pull my hair and eat it. I don't remember Ellie pulling my hair quite as much as him. And also is a good pincher.
He's still baldy but is actually getting some light colored hair. His eyes are a gray-blue.
He will laugh/smile without fail when I say "who's my big boy??" to him.
He has a super long tongue and loves sticking it out.

He is for sure teething. I thought he was cutting a tooth, but I'm not quite sure if he is or not. Either way he gnaws on just about everything. Thank you Tabitha for the teething toys and tips!
We took him and Ellie to their first movie ever. It went so well! We saw Monsters University during a matinee and there weren't a lot of people in the theater which was nice. Especially since Ellie likes to talk to the movies and warn characters of impending surprises. She also laughs really loud and says things like "he's funny!", but no one seemed to mind. And Caleb slept the first half then hung out on Tristan's lap for the rest of the time. He did have to get up with him toward the end, but didn't have the leave the theater.
And this is what Caleb likes to do in his spare time:
Thank you Caleb for being such a good boy. And thank you Ellie for being the best big sister!
And this is what Caleb likes to do in his spare time:
Kick his feet. He does this all. the. time.
He can watch Ellie all day long. They are starting to play so well together. I found them playing together a few times while I was doing stuff and snapped some shots. The best.
