Family Reunion

Over Memorial Day weekend, we went down to Las Vegas for our annual Cannata family reunion! It's my mom's side (the Italian side). We weren't able to go last year so we made an effort to go this time. Every year it's at a different place (California, Arizona, or Nevada); it's always a treat to see my crazy, loving, wild, beautiful, fun, talkative family.

The drive there took 12 hours! We pulled over every few hours to let Ellie out and feed Caleb. For the most part it was a brilliant plan. But on the way there and back there was one hour of stress as Ellie hit Caleb's face with her foot, or Caleb grew tired of being in his carseat... that almost makes you regret the whole trip. BUT we made it there and back and it was def worth it.

On the drive there. This was moments after all the craziness had settled down. The picture on the right is at Denny's. We treated ourselves haha.

Our hotel was in a not-so-nice part of Vegas, but the actual hotel itself was decent. Ellie was loving it (obviously)!

We had to unplug that phone after 30 seconds of being in the hotel.

After a fun, busy day, Ellie fell asleep eating a graham cracker. Haha.

On Friday, we spent the day with our good friends and old roommate Natalie and her husband Mark. I got to meet little Emerson for the first time. Words can't describe how cute that kid was.

We talked (what I do best), went shopping and swimming!

This is Britt holding Caleb for the first time. She's a natural ;)

Going to the outlet malls near the Strip. Crowded, but still fun.
I love you Natalie. Haha.

Tristan--you look good holding Caleb in the carrier.
Thanks for the great day Purcells, we love you guys!! Hope we can see you soon!

Later on that evening the rest of my family came in town and we went to dinner. Here's Mick holding Caleb for the first time! We wasn't as much of a natural as Britt. Haha

And Saturday was reunion day! We had such a fun time.
BBQ, my dad's famous salsa, games, and enjoying each others company is all we need to have a great day.

I took random pictures of everyone.

My mom, Mickey and Stevie...just you know... hangin' out.

Jess and Britt chatting away. And Andrew enjoying some cold water.
Ellie is not afraid of spicy/hot foods. At all. She loves hot cheetoes (as do I) and ate quite a bit.

More pictures talking, eating, being cool Cannatas.
I got Caleb's sun hot at a yard sale for a quarter. I love yards sales. And good deals.
How hilarious are these pictures of Mickey holding Ellie? She wasn't even poopy!
Classic Andrew--hilarious, as always.
That little guy on the left is MY cousin Joshua, (Caleb's first cousin, once removed). Caleb is one week older than him. Is he not totally cute and adorable?! Great job Jess and Lucie.
Nothing more beautiful than a grandma with her grandchild.
All the sibs that were able to make it. Andrew and Scott had to work, but we love you guys!
Also, do you like Ellie's awkwardly placed hand? I have no idea why she did that.
Ellie with my cousin Ashley (her first cousin, once removed also). And the picture on the right is the warner sisters.
"All thanks to Brittany and her 4S"-- Tristan
Finally got a couple pictures of our family of four thanks to my sis who's great at taking pictures.
Speaking of... here's my awesome, fashionable, cute, spunky, genuinely nice sister of mine B-Rhae!
I always learn a lot from her in regards to fashion, music, trends, hair, etc. But much more than that, she is my best friend and 10 months is too long to go without seeing each other. It should be against the law.
Lucie and her little guy Joshua.
Ellie playing jump rope with Mickey, Andrew, and Ashley.
There were no kids Ellie's age. It was actually really awesome because she got so much attention from everyone since she's the only 2-year-old.

After the BBQ we went to the church for Joshua's baby blessing. It was great that they opted to do it here amongst family and that we got to be apart of it! Also, they fed us some delish pizza for dinner and ice cream.
My grandma, mom, and sibs after the baby blessing. I didn't get any pictures of Joshua in his super cute blessing outfit! Bummer.
My mom and sisters chatting and holding Caleb.

More Caleb holding
The newly weds-- Aaron and Janice. It was my first time meeting Janice, and she is such a sweetheart--seriously. One could describe her as angelic. You done good, Uncle Aaron.
Playing an intense game of "butt's up" after the blessing and dinner.

After the baby blessing, we went to the hotel pool (which was indoor, lame) and had some more fun!

Andrew with his GoPro. It's waterproof. Actually everything-proof. Super cool!

We had such a great time, full of laughter, fun, and memories!
