Adjusting

Every day I make small goals of what I want to accomplish that day. It includes things like "do two loads of laundry" or "clean the toilets and the showers" or "go on a walk with the kiddos". I normally accomplish what I have planned for that day, but my most recent one of "update your blog" has been on my list for a while, so I'm trying to play catch up!

Making smalls goals throughout the week make life so much better. It makes me busy, without having too much to do. And I try to get out of the house at least once, which saves my sanity (and Ellie's). I'm rarely overwhelmed with all that I need to get done because I do a little at a time every day. Because of this, adjusting to two kids has been almost seamless. Going from none to one was WAY harder than going from one to two for me. It might be, in part, because Caleb is a good baby or maybe that Ellie was a high-maintenance newborn. Maybe I'm more confident in myself as a mother, or maybe since we already had a schedule with Ellie, getting Caleb on a schedule has been that much easier.

Here's a picture of our first Sunday together as a family of four!

Gettin' some love from his big sis.

Enjoying some time with cousins and grandma!

Loving the beautiful spring weather and having fun on our walk!

Ellie loves me (I think).

And so does Caleb.
It helps to have a great husband and father; he helps me out a ton! You name it--he does it.

Feeling blessed for my little family.
P.S. We still don't have a picture with the four of us; we really need to get one!
