Sicky-Icky

My poor babe is sick. As a mother, I've never experienced anything worse than having a sick child. I would give anything to take it away. I'm sure you moms out there know what I'm talking about (and even those that aren't...). Last night, I could tell Ellie was in pain and that something was wrong. She's been battling a cough and a runny nose for about three weeks now. But last night was different. She was up on and off until almost two in the morning until finally fell asleep.

I decided that I wasn't going to go to class today. Which was hard because I hate missing what the teachers say (most of the test questions come from what they emphasize in lecture). But it was probably the best choice I made. Ellie needed her mom! Just like I wanted my mom with me when I wasn't feeling well.

I have an awesome husband too, you know that? He was up with Ellie and me the whole time. She even threw up once, and he cleaned it all up! Which is saying something because he has a pretty good gag reflex. Tristan, you rock.

So, I took Ellie to the Doctor's this morning and just as I suspected; an ear infection. Almost a double, but we caught it before it was going to progress to that. She's also getting her top molars in. Add it to the list.

BUT we got her some antibiotics and she already seems to be getting back to her normal, fun-loving self! And, because I have such awesome friends/classmates, I have the whole recording for the two hour lecture that I missed! Things always have a way of working themselves out. Being a student comes after being a mom.
