Little Known Facts

I hope this post doesn't embarrass Tristan, he knows I love him. But I just have to share a few things about him that most people don't know:

He loves Adele. He belts out her songs without a thought. And it sounds good.

He is ridiculously clean. I sometimes have to pick up his socks after him. Sometimes.

He loves cookies 'N cream ice cream. He could probably eat a whole carton of it without even realizing it.

He knows a LOT about cars. More than the average joe. (He worked at a mechanics for most of his youth).

He's an AWESOME dancer. I felt like an idiot dancing with him at our wedding because I'm so uncoordinated. It's one of the many things that first attracted me to him.

He can drink a whole gallon of milk by himself. We have to ration it.

He loves the movie "She's the Man", I got him into it. Don't be mad at me for posting that one Tristan...

He has 57 ties. And probably only wears three of them.

He knows anything and everything there is to know about Apple products.

He loves rice. With any meal. Also cereal.

He rarely takes nap. Not necessarily by choice. The picture to the left is probably the third time he's taken a nap since we've been married.

He refuses to spend over $20 on jeans. I told him that's impossible. Then he proved me wrong. Twice.

He endorses anything that even remotely has to do with Northern California.

He hates Chapstick. He says that once you start using it, you have to keep using it because your lips are chapped without it. He never wheres it. I wear it everyday.

He builds forts with Ellie almost everyday.

He weighed less than me when I was 38 weeks pregnant. That was not cool.

He never changed a roll of toilet paper in our apartment until we had been married for a year.

He makes gagging noises every time he changes Ellie's diaper. Sometimes they aren't fake.

He despises my favorite team ever, the Lakers. But he holds in his comments when Kobe clearly fouled a player and doesn't get called for it. Even though it drives him crazy.

I have to remind him to eat. He has to remind me not to.

His middle name is Lan.

He's pretty blind. He used to only wear his glasses when driving and at school. I told him he needs to always wear them.

He has the longest, most beautiful eyelashes I've ever seen.

He gets really, ridiculously excited when football season comes around. He played as a kid, but when high school came around, he was five foot and hundred pounds as a freshman. I ask him a million questions during footballs games. He answers every single one of them. And still loves me.

He would drop everything to help out a friend.

He calls me when he's at work to see how Ellie and I are doing.

He comes home early from work to watch Ellie so I can study and/or take a test. And sometimes she can be grumpy.

Everytime he leaves for work he says, "Welp, I gotta go so I can afford Ellie's prom dresses."

He works so hard at his job. He picks things up so quickly, and tries harder than anyone I've ever met. His job title is "Associate Systems Administrator". I call him my computer geek. His real job title should be "Totally reliable Associate, Works-his-butt-off Systems, Blow-your-freakin'-mind Administrator
."

In honor of Valentine's day, I thought I would just share a few of the things that I think are hilarious and love about him. And this is only after 2 1/2 years of marriage. This list is bound to grow with time. And that's exciting. Tristan, you make my life better.

  2. So cute, Markie. I laughed out loud a couple of times: his prom dress comment, the Chapstick thing (he said that to me once and I often think of it when I'm DYING for Carmex because it's been like 4 hours without it) and the eating reminders. Love you guys :)

  3. haha- I love it!! That is such a cute idea, soo many interesting facts I found out, lol, his fave movie is "shes the man?" - it's ok, Brett secretly loves chick flicks too. He acts like he's watching them for me but sometimes when i try to talk to him during the chick flick he un-knowlingly shushes me- he doesn't want to miss anything. haha!
