Before I was a mom, I thought I appreciated the mother's in my life.

Grandma Kathy and mom
It wasn't until I became a mom that I feel I truly appreciated, understood, and loved my mom with my full heart. She is kind-hearted, loving, and a person I can always rely on. I trust her advice and am not the person I am today without her. People often say that I am a lot like my mom; I don't think I could get a bigger compliment than that. She's goofy, funny, and silly--some of my favorite attributes about her-- and always has a smile on her face. Thanks for being such a great Mom, mom. You're awesome and I love you!
My grandma Kathy (Mom's mom) is probably the most loving person you will ever meet. She is not afraid to talk to anybody (even when you're in Italy and she happens to find the one person that can speak English). I tease her a lot for being so goofy and for talking so much--but from the bottom of my heart I hope to be like her.
Grandma Gerri
My grandma Gerri (Dad's mom) is a soft spoken, heart-felt woman with a little bit of sas. She would do just about anything to make her family happy and is often content just being with us even when we're being loud and crazy. Her unconditional love is an attribute I strive to have.
Lesa (pronounced Lisa, not Lessa)
And then there's my Mother-in-law, Lesa. She couldn't haven been a better mother to add into my life. She's tender, generous, and self-less. I pointed out to her one time all the things she does for her family, and I honestly think she'd ever realized how full of service her days are, nor did she care. It's part of her nature, one of the most admirable things about her.
These are just a few of the inspirational Mothers in my life. I'm so grateful for their example of love and kindness. They've taught me what it means to be a mom.
