Yet Again

My little angel is sick. I don't like it one bit when Ellie isn't her out-going, crazy, get-into-everything self. She's been running a low-grade fever for two days now. Having a sick child is close to one of the worst things in the world. When she's sick, it's like I'm sick. When she doesn't sleep, I don't sleep. When she's in pain, I'm in pain.

I will say that her having a fever, is an easier (for lack of better word) illness. With colds, she has a runny nose that always has to be wiped and a cough where her mouth always needs to be covered (which can then lead to the dreaded ear infections). When her stomach hurts, I have to have a bowl near her at all times (thankfully I've only had to do that once! And of course, I was sick right there with her). With both of those she doesn't sleep. When she's teething, I can give her tylenol and teething gel, but again she doesn't sleep. With this fever, she is always sleeping. I've gotten sooo much homework done (hence why I'm blogging). She's been a huge snuggler, which I can't lie, I have loved and embraced. But none of this is as good as having my fun-loving little girl. 

Thankfully she still has an appetite and has been drinking plenty of fluids, so we hope to nip this in the bootay by this weekend.
