I've grown up my whole life with the sun shining on Christmas day. I would go outside and use my new roller blades or bicycle; this year was no different!
Our first stop was to Tristan's house in Folsom.

Tristan's older brother, Trent, graduated with a Bachelor's in Accountancy.

We're so proud of him! He worked hard for it.

My favorite part about Folsom is all the directions that my Mother-in-law puts up. This wasn't even all the trees!

I counted 16 trees. And this wasn't even including the nutcrackers that line each step on the staircase, the snowman-themed kitchen, and the countless Nativity scenes she has all over her beautiful home. It sets the perfect mood for Christmas.
There was shopping, movie watching, dinner eating, and lots of fun involved.

But by the 19th, we had to make our way down to Southern California, because my brother was coming home from his mission the next day!

This is how we were greeted in Ontario, 80 degree weather! We went on 3 walks and spent most of our time outdoors. I was soaking up that much needed Vitamin D. And Ellie loved it
An Earthquake also greeted us late that night--not an uncommon occurance.

This is my brother Mickey. He served in the Ohio Cleveland mission.
I missed him soo much! And I'll be missing him again because he's going to BYU for the winter. But that's only 4 hours away instead of 13! I'll take it.

We went out and sang carols, had hot chocolate, and walked around the amazing Nativity scenes that the City of Ontario puts on.

On Christmas Eve we went to my Aunt's house where we did the usual--ate, watched a Christmas movie, and--a Warner Classic-- played spoons. Mickey and I were reigning champions. Some things never change. We were for sure missing some of our family who couldn't be there. Like one of the brothers Andrew, and my Sister Brittany and her Hubs Andrew (Yeah two Andrews).

On Christmas day we went to church, and came home to open presents.
Ellie got away like a bandit from all the gifts that she received from her birthday and Christmas. Her Grandparents (both sides) sure know how to spoil their grandchild!

She was lovin' it.

And so was I.
We had a blast with both of our families! Like always.
Ellie was enjoying the long drives we had to make with this new carseat! I call it her "throne". It's huge and takes up quite a bit of room in the back. But I loved that I could finally sit in the front with Tristan and enjoy the car ride. Thanks to my parents for the gift!

See ya next time California! We miss ya already!

Great pictures, Markie! I'm so glad I got to see you guys. That Ellie girl is too stinkin' cute. Speaking of which, I know I've mentioned it like 17 times, but your HAIR. It's so long and beautiful! I can't help but stare at it in every picture of you. :) Love you sister.
