Summer Fun! (Part Two)

After all the weddings and the fun time with Stevie in Rexburg, it was time to have a blast in California! After a long drive to St. George and then an even longer drive to Southern California (they closed the I-15 South right before Vegas... so lame), we finally made it.

Ellie was such a good girl the whole time!

We visited family and friends:

But the highlight of the trip was the family reunion! It was my mom's side (the Cannata's-- that's Italian) and it was so fun! We got up extra early (we didn't get to sleep in hardly at all when we were at my house...) so we could take family pictures. My mom had this sweet lady in her ward come take pictures, and I thought they turned out really good.

After that we went swimming and played and long and very fun game of water polo. Andrew (my brother), Uncle Aaron, Zac, and me were one team, then Tristan, Britt's Andrew (we called him "Little" during the game), Scott, and Stevie were on the other team. Britt's Andrew and Tristan were awesome goalies, so it was a good match up. I'm pretty sure we lost. I can't remember, and here's why: my cousin Zac, who has an amazing arm, was passing me the ball and it hit me straight in the nose! It hurt, but when you get hit in the nose it always does. After a minute or two I toughened up and started playing again, but quickly realized it wasn't just my nose that got hit (which didn't even hurt anymore) but my neck. It killed me to even turn it. Thus, I had to stop playing because it hurt to swim. And it hurt for another week after that. I can't blame you though, Zac, you have a killer arm. I'm pretty sure Britt got all the pictures from the part of the reunion (Sorry!). After we had a delicious BBQ and played so kick ball and just had a blast together.

After all the passing around and being held...

Ellie was tuckered out, just the way I like it.

The next day we went to my old ward and got to see a lot of familiar faces.

And on Monday it was beach time! Ellie's first trip. I was clearly more excited than her.

It was a little cold, but it warmed up!

I was so excited that Allison came with us, love that girl.

Afterword, we went to the BEST Chinese food place called Fu Lin. It was DE-LISH. (You should know, Chinese food is my favorite food in the world)
