Thankful

My summer has finally begun since school got out last week. And I've already been having a blast (future posts pending). But first, let me tell you how awesome this last semester has been. I still thank my Father in heaven every day that I was accepted into this amazing program. I can't express how good it feels to achieve a goal that I've wanted since I was a little girl. There are 42 nursing students in the program each semester, and we spend approximately 15 hours a week with each other. Needless to say, I've made some really good friends. We've studied together, stressed out together, helped each other out, and just plain grew to love each other. They watched Ellie while we were in the lab practicing our skills, the lab tutors loved holding her, which made my life so much easier. I've really grown to love the girls in my clinical group. We had to be at the hospital and 5:oo in the AM together. We got to know each other really well.

They're switching up our groups next semester, but a bunch of us will still be together, so I'm super excited about that. The crazy guy in the green scrubs was our clinical instructor; he's my most favorite teacher ever. We got him "satin hands" by Mary Kay because his hands were always so dry from washing them constantly. We'll definitely miss him (he only does first semesters).

I'm so grateful to be learning soooo much (and this is only the beginning). I couldn't have done any of this without the help of Tristan. He was so patient with me and my studying (I had to take two exams every week, so there was a lot of that going on). I practiced skills on him countless times, and he has been the most wonderful patient ever! I also couldn't have done it without Rachel and Jenni, who watched Ellie while I was at school. They were HUGE blessings and I'm so grateful for their help. Also Lindsey, who watched her quite a bit also. And also my awesome sister Brittany, she bailed me out a few times as well. Oh and Stephanie, love that girl. Okay so obviously you can see I had a LOT of help. I am so thankful for all these kind people who helped me out.

So here's to one semester down and three more to go!
